MEGA is the acronym for Effective Methods in Algebraic Geometry (and its equivalent in Italian, French, Spanish, German, Russian, etc.). This series of biennial international conferences, with the tradition dating back to 1990, is devoted to computational and application aspects of Algebraic Geometry and related topics, over any characteristics.

Go 60 Conference aims to celebrate Giorgio Ottaviani's 60th birthday by bringing together mathematicians working in both pure and applied algebraic geometry for a week-long meeting in the mountains, featuring talks about the most recent progresses in these fields, and lots of time to interact and discuss about mathematics. Giorgio is the representative at University of Florence (UNIFI) in POEMA project.
